Kersey Turkey Hunt
This property in Kersey Colorado is a gem! There is an abundance of wildlife, with the beautiful Platte
River running through the property. What a great way to open the spring turkey season. One veteran
was able to harvest his bird on the opening day, with snow still on the ground. A very nice Tom, his
biggest bird ever. Much of the rest of the day was spent calling and scouting the birds for our second
day hunt.

Our second day started with crossing the river through thick bank of fog, so thick we couldn’t see the
sand bar in the middle of the river. As we waited for First light, the woods came alive with turkeys calling
to each other through the thick fog. As the fog rolled rack, we could finally make out 2 jakes working
their way towards our decoys. This was the first turkey hunt for two of our vets, and both brought
home their birds. An incredible time was had by all!

A big thank you to our host Sean Mulligan, our guides Colin Mulligan and Conner Flansburg. We would
also like to Thank dreams of the wild
