Fly Fishing with Anglers of Honor
Today, the Boulder Creek and ponds were crystal clear, making it the perfect day for a fly fishing outing. The day began with an introduction to the fundamentals of fly fishing from our wonderful Anglers of Honor guides. The overview of how to fly fish was great, as most of the veterans in attendance today were fly fishing for their very first time! All of the participants were excited to learn a new skill as well as enjoy the healing aspect of sharing the outdoors with new friends and faces. After a busy morning in the creek, everyone in attendance enjoyed lunch with one another on the deck of the eco center. Everyone was ecstatic to share their fly fishing experiences with one another. All of the participant not only left with a new skill, but also an Anglers of Honor fly rod, so they can fish on their own in the future. Thank you to all of the veterans that turned out and to Lincoln Hills and the guides that made this outing a success!
