Outings Program
Outings
Recreational outings are the cornerstone of our programming. They are funded, planned and organized by River Deep to serve a vital role in the healing process. These activities are open to veterans and other individuals who have suffered a life-changing spinal cord or brain injury, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or other trauma. Each outing provides participants and their family members the chance to relax and enjoy the outdoors, network with other families, experience camaraderie and learn about resources in a supportive environment. River Deep is dedicated to providing the highest quality experiences possible, and we work diligently to design events specifically targeting our participants’ physical, social and emotional needs.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
River Deep works closely with our Alliance members and other partners to invite people who would benefit from our activities. Some outings are filled quickly through case managers. Other outings are larger and open to a wider audience. Immediate family members or caregivers are welcome to participate as appropriate for the activity. For more information, please contact Foundation Director Bob Adwar.
