Participants: Craig Hospital & Operation TBI Freedom and Ft. Carson WTB
It’s a warm, sunny spring day and the perfect temperature to be outdoors for fishing and archery. Both the kids and adults are anxious to head for the ponds and range. Arrows fly while bass and bluegill are reeled in at the ponds. What a fun bunch of guides and instructors to help out. Wonderful to provide these families with a much needed day together of fun and relaxation. At lunchtime, we all gather at the outdoor pavilion for some delicious BBQ provided by Jim & Nicks BBQ Restaurant. They always provide a wonderful meal for everyone to enjoy. After lunch, we hand out some door prizes…fishing rods, hats, footballs and more. There is plenty of time for more archery and fishing. It’s been another successful Family Fun Day and we look forward to the next one. Big thanks for all the volunteers and to Colorado Youth Outdoors for the beautiful setting.
