As you’ll see from this Outing Report, January is a month of renewed hope, new beginnings — and a lot of fun at River Deep Foundation events. We’re grateful for everyone who volunteers and sponsors the roughly 75 outings we coordinate for hundreds of people every year. Here’s just a glimpse of all the good their support does for so many.

After covering the fundamentals of this exciting sport with the experts at Denver Fencing Center, our participants donned gear and sparred for points! No one wanted to leave when our time was up! What a fun day!

Abstract Foam Clay Sculpture
Art Students League of Denver
Denver, Jan. 20
Participants: Craig Hospital, OTF
We put fine motor skills and creativity to the test by using an array of tools and our imagination to sculpt.
Blacksmithing and Welding at Kilroy’s Workshop
Colorado Springs, Jan. 24
Participants: OTF and VA
Hammers, open flame, knife forging and welding with welcoming experts in the trades. What’s there not to love?! On this particular trip to Kilroy’s our participants worked at different skill levels, some forging knives for the first time, and others picking up where they left off on projects requiring more advanced skills.
