Colorado has enjoyed an especially clear, crisp and colorful fall this year — which made our outdoor activities this month even more fun. Here’s a quick summary of what our donors’ generosity helped us accomplish in just the month of October:
Fly Fishing with Anglers of Honor at Lincoln Hills

We couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather and scenery for our last outing of the season. Expert guides helped participants navigate the pristine, private waters of Boulder Creek for catch-and-release fishing, followed by lunch from Gondolier Italian Eatery. Our thanks to everyone who made the year possible.
Bracelet-making with Cottonwood Center for the Arts

Using an array of materials and wire, our participants crafted beautiful and unique bracelets to remind them of happy memories and the current joys they find in life.

Vets learned a lot from centering exercises and had a great time on a gentle horseback trail ride through beautiful fall scenery.
Hanging Art Mobiles with Art Students League of Denver

Participants combined an array of materials – including paper, twigs and yarn to make eye-catching, decorative mobiles to brighten their favorite space.
Trap Shooting at Valhalla Hunt Club

Patients from Craig Hospital – some who were just learning how to shoot, and others who were crack shots – enjoyed a day in the sunshine with students from CU Boulder and the Colorado School of Mines, who are assisting us with the development of adaptive equipment to make trap shooting more fun for more people.
