NKBA HOLIDAY PARTY AND AUCTION FUNDRAISER

December 11, 2020
NKBA Online Holiday Party & Auction Fundraiser
The River Deep Foundation was thrilled to be chosen as the beneficiary for the annual holiday party and fundraiser held by NKBA Rocky Mountain Chapter. NKBA stands for National Kitchen and Bath Association and its members are all involved in the Kitchen & Bath Design Industry—designers, suppliers, tradespeople etc.
Due to the pandemic the live holiday party was replaced with an online event and silent auction. Industry members and others donated items to the silent auction that took place entirely online through a platform and mobile app called GIVI. Bidding was open 1 week before the event and was open to anyone whether they attended the party or not. The event was cross marketed to both NKBA members and RDF supporters. Registrants had the option to have a party kit delivered to them by NKBA that included cocktail glasses, a cocktail recipe and ingredients and a mini gingerbread  house kit!
The evening of the party attendees donned their ugliest Christmas sweater and joined a Zoom call from their home, where they were first treated to a video demo of the of how to mix up the cocktail recipe by Monogram Appliance’s Chef Jon. River Deep attendees included Bob Adwar, Amy Norton and Susan and Chuck Williamson who were able to speak about the organization after a short RDF video. Industry member, RDF volunteer and supporter Scott Polak was also in attendance. Over the evening the auction items were highlighted between fun activities like a home scavenger hunt, ugly sweater contest, gingerbread house contest and, best of all a visit from Santa and Mrs Claus! As a family-friendly event the kids on the call were especially thrilled for the special guest!
This NKBA event raised $5,291 for River Deep! We are so grateful for the hard work by their board members, the generous donors of items and cash and for holding such a fun and fruitful event in unexpected circumstances.
