Anglers of Honor

October 5th, 2019
Location: Lincoln Hills Fly Fishing Club, Black Hawk, CO.
Hosted By: River Deep Foundation and SCI HOP
Participants: Craig Hospital, Operation TBI Freedom & Ft. Carson Warrior Transition Battalion

It’s the final fishing outing for the year, and we have a packed house of people all ready to learn how to fly fish and try their luck on the ponds and streams of Lincoln Hills. We started with instruction on the basics, geared up and are assigned our guides for the day.

Whether it’s the stream or the pond, everyone had hookups with some big rainbow and cutthroat trout. After a morning of fishing, we gathered back at the deck of the eco center, and are treated to a fantastic BBQ lunch.

It’s been a great day and season with the Anglers of Honor program at Lincoln Hills. A big thanks to all the guides, volunteers and everyone who made it possible.
