Dear Friends of Healing and Adventure,
At the River Deep Foundation, our mission is to help military veterans, individuals with mobile challenges and those facing profound emotional or psychological trauma heal through outdoor recreation and supportive community. For years, we have proudly assisted with management of Anglers of Honor as a vital program within our River Deep Alliance — an innovative network of complementary nonprofits that shares resources, expertise and outreach to deliver nearly 100 therapeutic outings annually.
This partnership is a perfect synergy: River Deep provides essential administrative support, volunteer coordination, event logistics, and broader programming — like archery, scuba diving and horseback riding — enabling Anglers of Honor to focus on what they do best: leading world-class fly fishing excursions on pristine Colorado waters. Anglers of Honor, in turn brings specialized fly fishing expertise, professional guides from partners like Front Range Anglers, and direct connections to participants from Craig Hospital and its Operation TBI Freedom program designed for military veterans, Fort Carson’s Soldier Recovery Unit, and the VA Hospital. Together, we combine forces to offer hope, camaraderie, and renewal, helping hundreds of people every year reclaim joy on the river while addressing isolation, PTSD, spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries.
Your donation to Anglers of Honor amplifies this impact, funding transportation, equipment, meals and accessible venues like the Lincoln Hills Fly Fishing Club. Every gift supports veterans casting lines toward brighter futures and families rebuilding bonds in nature’s embrace.
Colorado Gives Day, Dec. 9, 2025, is our state’s largest giving movement, but early giving already is underway– and every dollar counts toward the million-dollar Incentive Fund! Schedule our tax-deductible donation now on ColoraoGives.org to boost Anglers of Honor’s reach. You will find the Anglers of Honor giving page here.
Together, let’s cast wider nets of healing.
Gratefully,
The River Deep Foundation Leadership Team
