Golf Tournament & Fundraiser

8/31/2020
August 31, 2020
Location: Meridian Golf Club - Englewood, CO
Hosted by: River Deep Foundation and SCI HOP

Golf Tournament & Fundraiser
What could be better than a day outside on green grass, smashing a little white ball all over the place for a great cause? We are out today supporting wounded vets and individuals with disabilities. The River Deep Foundation hosts outings year-round like archery, fly fishing, hunting, art classes, fencing, equine assisted learning and much more. It’s an honor to be able to work with organizations like Craig Hospital, Operation TBI and Ft. Carson.
We have over 100 people participating in the fundraiser today and we can tell by the smiles they are having a good time, regardless of where the ball lands. A big thanks to Meridian Golf Club and all the volunteers that made this a successful day!

Fly Fishing with Anglers of Honor

August 22, 2020
Hosted by: River Deep Foundation & Denver SCI HOP
Location: Lincoln Hills Fly Fishing Club - Black Hawk, CO
Participants: Operation TBI Freedom, Ft. Carson SRU & Craig Hospital Alumni

Fly Fishing with Anglers of Honor
Almost all of our participants today are new to fly fishing. Our focus will be on instruction—the Trout are a bonus. Everyone is taught the fundamentals before heading to the stream and ponds. The guides at Lincolns Hill are the best and always go above and beyond to ensure everyone has a great time. After a morning of fishing, we gather on the deck of the eco-center for a great lunch and some fish stories. Our hope is that all who participated today will continue to Fly Fish as a way to help the healing process. A big thanks to all the guides and volunteers for a fun day

Camping and Fishing by Horseback with Capitol Peak Outfitters
It’s August and the weather in the high country is perfect for two day adventure! Four veteran participants were treated to a weekend of fishing, camping by horseback by Snomass, Colorado. Lead by John Howe and his guides at Capitol Peak Outfitters, the group enjoyed a fun trip catching trout at a mountain lake, hanging out and enjoying great meals. We are grateful to our hosts for giving these guys the chance to get away for a weekend of healing in the outdoors.
