December 22nd, 2018 Location: Vahalla Hunt Club, Bennett, CO. Hosted By: River Deep and SCI HOP Participants: Craig Hospital It's cold, overcast and a chance of snow, so we are going to layer up to stay warm. The Craig Hospital participants show up around 10:00AM and we started with some instruction on the trap shooting range. Everyone is getting the hang of it and more clays are being broken. The tune up is over and the dogs are ready to go. So we head to the grass in search of pheasants. We manage to flush some up, put a few in the bag and some pheasants escaped to another zip code. It's a fun hunt and everyone is enjoying watching the dogs work and the birds fly. It's lunch time and we head to the clubhouse for a Vahalla lunch and some warmth. It has been a great day and a big thanks to the Valhalla Hunt Club and all the volunteers. Bob Adwar River Deep, President SCI HOP, VP/Humanitarian Chairman ![]()

December 9th, 2018 Location: RMS Gear, Wheat Ridge, CO. Hosted By: River Deep and SCI HOP Participants: Craig Hospital and Operation TBI Freedom We have a full house today of men, women and children all anxious to learn archery from the expert instructors from RMS Gear. We start with the range rules and fundamentals. Next, we move up to the line with the instructors and are given the choice of shooting a recurve or compound bow, and figure out the appropriate draw weight. Arrows fly toward the targets and the smiles are right behind. We also have engineering students from the School of Mines who are designing new adaptive equipment for archery, fishing and shooting. The student will be working with us all year and will be attending many of our outings. We are all looking forward to seeing the end results. Quality of Life Plus is the organization that made this possible. It's lunch time and we are treated to some great barbecue from Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q. It has been a wonderful day for all and a big thanks to all who helped make it possible. Bob Adwar River Deep, President SCI HOP, VP/Humanitarian Chairman ![]()
