Location: Kilroy’s Workshop, Colorado Springs, CO Hosted by: River Deep Foundation Participating Groups: Ft. Carson SRU, TBI Freedom, VA Blacksmithing Great way to start the weekend with a group of veterans and family members learning the fundamentals of blacksmithing. Once again, our Master Blacksmith, Ron Hardman, took his time to make sure everyone understood what to expect from the class. First they learned a little bit about the history of blacksmithing and put all the skills learned in practice. Each participant created a knife to take home. Everyone had a wonderful time and they all took a masterpiece home. Jesus Guerra, CBIS Military Support Specialist, Operation TBI Freedom April 6, 2022

Location: Cottonwood Center for the Arts Hosted by: River Deep Foundation Participating Groups: Operation TBI Freedom Art Class - Book Folding What a great night with a group of veterans and their families learning about book folding. This class was very interesting. Our instructor, Bonnie Nelson, taught us different ways and techniques to create amazing book folding designs. One interesting fact we learned is that book folding, until the middle of the 19th century, was a trade done by hand. We had a good time and everyone was able to take a book design home.
